Why should I hire Videre Travel to plan and book my trip?

We are here to help your family create cherished memories through travel. The bucket list destinations and experiences in which we specialize are generally impossible to coordinate on your own. We’ve spent decades fostering relationships with the best guides, tour operators and properties around the world. We intimately know the top hotels and tour companies in the most in-demand destinations. And we've helped hundreds of families create their most cherished memories. We know exactly what it takes. What should we budget for a bucket list family trip?

Great - and important - question! Having a realistic budget in mind and sharing that with your travel advisor ensures a positive and efficient travel planning experience. We've put together a budgeting guide that covers our top 10 destinations. Check it out here!
How much is your planning fee?

Our standard fee starts at $350 per family for complete itinerary development and trip management. This can vary based on complexity, number of travelers and time frame.
Do you book vacation rentals?

We have a spectacular network of trusted villa and residential-style vacation rentals around the world. We do not work with consumer rental sites like VRBO or Airbnb. Rather, we only use accreddited local brokers who personally maintain a portfolio of properties in their destination of expertise. We love privately-owned, residential style accommodations, from the perfect ski house in Vail to a charming apartment in the heart of walkable Paris, and always stand by the quality of every property we recommend and book.
What is covered in the trip planning and management fee?

Our non-refundable professional planning and management fee covers a portion of our time spent working together with you to perfectly customize your itinerary, manage booking of all components and professionally manage your trip from start to finish. You also will have access to our exclusive contracted rates and perferred partnership amenities with hotels and other travel suppliers around the world. Running a travel consultancy business (vs other professional services such as an architect, accountant or lawyer) is a bit unique in that we are also are compensated by most suppliers in the form of commission. Thus, our complete compensation includes the planning and management fees in combination with supplier commissions.
What do you book?

Essentially, we take care of everything when it comes to planning and booking your family trip. We handle your land arrangements, such as accommodations, ground transfers, and experiential activities. Videre Travel does not book air. However, we partner with an amazing air desk who book flights for our clients and will put you in touch with them directly if you would like support in booking flights.
