Founder and Director of Travel Design
Sarah Fazendin founded Videre Travel in 2015 to help families create their most cherished memories. Today, she is joined by a rapidly growing network of travel designers and local operators around the world, unified in this mission.
Prior to this, Sarah spent 15 years working with Africa-based safari operators and government tourism boards. Together they launched groundbreaking wildlife safaris combining active adventure & luxury accommodations that ushered in a new era of experiential, sustainable travel. This approach to travel design remains at the heart of every Videre Travel itinerary today.
Sarah is regularly featured in international media outlets and was recently honored by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as a Top Travel Specialist.
Together with her husband and two adventurous kiddos, Sarah spends many weekends exploring wild places of the Western United States from their home in Denver, Colorado - and always has plenty of adventures planned further afar!

Favorite Travel Memory? So many! Hiking through the Andes mountains in Peru with my kids, eating local bbq on the beach in Bora Bora, feeding baby rhino at a wildlife orphanage in Kenya all top the list.

mallory worthington
Travel Designer
Mallory Worthington enjoyed a youth of exploration; jumping off Auckland tower, swimming with great white sharks in South Africa, sky giving 14,000 feet above Australia's beautiful beaches and walking with lions in Zimbabwe. After starting a family, global exploration began to look a bit different - but most certainly has not slowed her down.
Mallory began her career in travel managing sales and marketing for luxury resorts and safari lodges, tour operators and other tourism stakeholders. In doing so, she perfected the art of designing unique, efficient itineraries to the world's best bucket list destinations.
At Videre Travel, she continues to connect good people with good people - matching her clients with the best local teams to create seamless, inspired travel itineraries.

Favorite Travel Memory? When a cheetah jumped on the hood of our vehicle on a game drive in Masai Mara. That one really tops the list!
But also wine tasting with my sister in Bordeaux, France and when our driver took our family to eat jerk chicken with the locals in Jamaica. And most recently, watching the sunset by a massive bonfire on Cannon Beach while my kids played in the sand and waves.

Travel Designer
Trista grew up traveling extensively with her parents, and in doing so accumulated an intense passion for travel, culture and gastronomy. This passion has been passed onto her two children who love adventure as much as she and her husband!
Her young children have already been to 14 countries ... and counting. Each trip combines adventure, culture and eduction through travel.
With a B.S. in Neuropsychology and a minor in Spanish, extensive, detailed and thoughtful research is a core part of each and every itinerary she designs for her clients at Videre Travel.

Favorite Travel Memory?: The most memorable family vacation was visiting Lapland, Finland and taking the Polar Express to visit Santa (the “real” Santa!) in his Toy Factory, then a sled dog ride at sunset. Other unforgettable moments include exploring the rainforests of Central America, family cooking classes in Spain, and glamping in the Serengeti!

devon chapman
Travel Designer
Devon joins the Videre Travel team with an extensive history of personal travel and eight years experience working for a luxury tour operator, with a focus on Africa and Asia.
She loves the memories she has created while traveling with friends and family across the world, but some of the memories she holds dearest are of her solo trips across Asia. She loves the challenge of traveling alone, the people you meet, and the unique adventures that find a way of presenting themselves. Her favorite thing about travel is the way it breaks us out of our day-to-day patterns and challenges us to see the world in new ways. She has explored six of the seven continents and hopes to reach Antarctica in the next five years!
As a travel designer, she loves to add a little creativity to each clients’ itinerary. She prides herself on asking the right questions and doing extensive research to find the perfect hotels and experiences for every individual trip. More than anything she values the connections she’s made with guides and local offices across the globe. Together they are constantly seeking out new experiences to immerse her clients in the unique magic of each destination. It is in these moments she finds people can make the most treasured memories with their families and friends.
Next Bucket List Trips: Antarctica, diving in the Galapagos, and seeing the gorillas in Rwanda.
Favorite Travel Memory: Learning to scuba dive in Malapascua in The Philippines. Diving was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before, and set my life on a whole new path! I loved the experience so much, I went on to become a certified divemaster and plan so many of my trips around where I can dive next. Plus, learning to dive in Malapascua meant I got to see a Thresher shark on my fourth dive ever, which is pretty special.

valentina michaels
Travel Designer
Growing up with a father who traveled internationally for work, it’s no surprise that Valentina’s wanderlust emerged at a young age. Following a college semester abroad in Scotland, Valentina decided to pursue a Master’s degree in International Tourism Administration from George Washington University, with an emphasis on Ecotourism & Sustainable Development in Latin America. Her thesis led Valentina to Belize, Venezuela and northern Guatemala, where she worked with ProPeten (in partnership with Conservation Int'l).
Now with almost 30 years of travel industry experience and having visited 23 countries spanning 4 continents, Valentina continues her work primarily throughout Latin America and Africa (with a bit of Europe, SE Asia and Pacific Rim thrown in!) with a focus on adventure, eco and philanthropic travel. Equally comfortable in the office, exploring the rainforest, or out on safari, Valentina is thrilled to be working with Videre Travel, curating bespoke, highly customized and off the beaten path adventures for her clients.

Favorite Travel Memory: This is a tough one. One of my favorites was my first ever time on safari. We started driving in Chobe National Park...it was hot and the animals were hiding. I, in turn, was trying to hide my disappointment. All of a sudden as the sun began to set by the Chobe River, I looked up and there were giraffes and eles everywhere emerging from the bush! It was one of the most magical and magnificent moments in my life. A close second was in Venezuela. We were in Canaima National Park with our Pemon guide, having spent several days traveling by dugout canoe, ultimately to the base of Angel Falls. At one point, we got out to swim though the icy waters of a cave to emerge in a place the Pemon considered holy. There was a waterfall and a pool, and the cascading water had carved what looked like human and animal faces in the rock walls on all sides of us. There was an other worldly energy present, it was overwhelming and left us all speechless. We must have sat in that space for hours.
