Call it the best of both worlds. You have multiple-bedrooms and plenty of space to spread out, with all the amenities of a resort - the perfect combination for a fun and stress-free trip.
While many luxury hotels offer penthouse suites and luxe residences, these often price very high compared to more traditional hotel rooms. And while there are countless ways to book private homes around the world, these lack amenities that families in particular find valuable; restaurants, kids clubs, pools, room service, etc.
But increasingly we're asked to find these hidden gems - all the fun of a resort combined with the space and comfort of a private home for a family vacation.
So here's our list! We have some great options both in the United States and internationally.
Caribbean Club - 7 Mile Beach - Grand Cayman Island
Caribbean Club is located right in the middle of the famous 7 Mile Beach, one of the most lovely strips of beach in the whole Caribbean. The complex is relatively small - with thirty-seven spacious 1-3 bedroom Suites and Villas as well as a pool, one of the best restaurants on the island, and access to watersports steps from your front door.
Grand Cayman is super easy to navigate; rent a car and spend a week exploring the island both above and below the water!
Naia Resort - Placencia Belize
Nestled within a private 200-acre reserve on the Placencia Peninsula of Belize, Naia resort offers beautiful, secluded beach houses together with resort amenities.
Surrounded by beach and mangrove wetlands, the area was originally settled in by the ancient Maya, most likely as a source of salt, before becoming a haven for buccaneers in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Today, Placencia is growing from small fishing village to low-key tourism hub.
