Northern Lights!

Increasingly, seeing the Northern Lights - the Aurora Borealis - is rising to the top of the bucket list for many families. Perhaps because it's an outdoor, socially-distant type of trip. Or perhaps because there are several new, luxurious and comfortable ways to enjoy this experience.

Either way - experiencing the bright dancing lights of the aurora (which are actually collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth's atmosphere) is at the top of the list for many families.

Lapland, Finland

North of the Arctic Circle in the vast Finnish Lapland, surrounded by towering pines, is a surreally beautiful place to experience the aurora borealis. Lapland, located in Northern Finland, is a perfect spot to see the Northern Lights.

Spend a night in a glass igloo, complete with heated floors and thermal-glass roof with a view to the sky. When the lights are visible an alarm will notify you so you don't sleep through the action.

In addition to active lights - the whole family will love dog sledding and checking out reindeer and other Arctic wildlife. Totally epic!

Iceland and Deplar Farm

Alaska - Denali National Park

Sheldon Chalet is the only privately-owned land in Denali National Park. This is a private experience in their spectacularly remote 5 bedroom lodge. The only way to get there is by helicopter.

Upon arrival, you'll meet with the guides and plan out what you want to do while there. Activities include Aurora viewing, as well as glacier trekking with gourmet picnic, crevasse exploration, snow cavern spelunking, rappelling, ice climbing, and rock climbing.
