At Videre Travel we just can't get enough Greece right now. And it turns out - neither can you! We are working on more requests for Greece today than we ever have before in our company's history.

And for good reason - at this very moment Greece is finalizing preparations to reopen for their summer season. While other E.U. countries look hopeful for the summer, Greece is 100% committed to safely opening on May 14th.
While this itinerary hits all the highlights of a family trip to Greece, this week we wanted to share some cool new, under-the-radar destinations around Greece.
Europe's Most Private Beach Resort
Porto Zante is the self-proclaimed most private beach resort in Europe. Located on the island of Zakynthos off the coast of Western Greece, regarded as one of the most beautiful Greek islands, this is a great home base from which to explore a more low-key side of the country.

The Venetians settled here in the Middle Ages and their legacy can still be seen in the historical buildings dotted throughout the area’s lesser explored villages. Visit Ancient Olympia, swim with turtles, tour the local landscape be private speedboat or sample fine wines at the local vineyard.

If you're not interested in moving around every few days and prefer to stay away from the energy of Mykonos and Santorini, this island destination could be a perfect home base for your family's summer adventure in Greece.
Costa Navarino
Costa Navarino is also located in Western Greece in a region called Peloponnese, remains one of the most unspoiled and breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean.

Only a 3 hour drive from Athens, just 10 years ago Costa Navarino didn’t even exist. Costa Navarino was the dream of captain, entrepreneur and ship-owner Vassilis ‘Captain Vassilis’ Constantakopoulos. This native of Diavolitsi (the Devil’s Village), a small village north of Kalamata, always wanted to preserve, promote and give back to his homeland. Costa Navarino is the realization of his dream: to offer luxurious yet sustainable options for people the world over to come and discover the unspoiled beauty of his homeland while immersing themselves in the history of the region and offering employment opportunities to the local community.

Costa Navarino and luxury resort The Romanos is a perfect home base to explore beaches by bike, head inland and hike to waterfalls, visit ancient ruins, and head out by boat to explore the nearby islands.
Paros Island in the Lesser Cyclades
Mykonos and Santorini are two of the most famous Greek islands, and especially during the high season they are the most crowded.
Paros, on the other hand, never feels crowded and is home to beautiful beaches, great hiking, charming narrow streets freckled with colorful flowers and cute little cafes, wineries, ancient ruins, and perhaps most important - unspoiled natural beauty.
If you're looking to sneak away as a couple, the lovely resort Parīlio on Paros is one of our favorites

Consisting of just 33-suites, the property is characterized distinctive structural features such as arches, concrete columns, and thick masonry. The design represents local building techniques and help to create a sense of sanctuary, resulting in a space that is both cathartic and elemental.

And for a family getaway to Paros, nothing beats Yria. This boutique hotel offers a totally authentic Greek island experience set in a gorgeous location only a few hundred meters from the popular Parasporos beach.
